Welcome to ChuckFrey.com, my new online home for my writings about creativity, productivity, personal development, career advice and entrepreneurship. It’s an expression of my mission to help you be more creative, productive and successful in today’s fast-moving yet uncertain business world.
After the unfortunate demise of InnovationTools.com last year, I used my Up Your Impact blog to write about creativity tools and techniques. But that wasn’t an entirely good fit for these and other business-related topics, tools and strategies I’ve wanted to explore.
At the same time, I have lacked a personal site where someone could come and see the breadth of the content I’ve been working on for the last several years – everything from articles, reports and books to infographics, diagrams and videos. So I changed the upyourimpact.com domain name over to chuckfrey.com and reworked the site into a platform that will serve you better and will help me to grow my personal brand.
My Body of Work
Just a few days ago, career counselor and best-selling author Pamela Slim released her latest book, Body of Work: Finding the Thread That Ties Your Story Together. Its focus is teaching you how to find the connections among your diverse accomplishments, sell your story, and continually reinvent and relaunch your brand. She defines a body of work as the following:
“Your body of work is everything you create, contribute, affect, and impact. For individuals, it is the personal legacy you leave at the end of your life, including all the tangible and intangible things you have created. Individuals who structure their careers around autonomy, mastery, and purpose will have a powerful body of work.”
At one level, ChuckFrey.com is an attempt to draw more of my body of work into a single location. It gives me the freedom to cover a number of diverse topics and interests that the Up Your Impact blog didn’t allow me to explore.

Upyourimpact.com has been relauched as a landing page to help promote my book, Up Your Impact: 52 Powerful Ideas to Get Noticed, Get Promoted & Become Indispensable at Work.
Of course, I continue to write and publish The Mind Mapping Software Blog, the world’s leading website devoted to mind mapping and visual thinking tools and techniques.
